Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the preparation and execution of all products leaving the cheesebox including restaurant menu items, catering / events, and retail purchases.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare all charcuterie products including using a slicer, weighing, and portioning products.
- Open and close the cheesebox following proper procedures including following a prep list, various station setup, and checking inventory of each station.
- Thorough knowledge of all cheesebox menu items including different meats and cheeses, sandwiches, caviar, accoutrements, etc.
- Handles various kitchen equipment including a meat slicer, a sandwich press, a cheese cutter, etc.
- Provides exceptional hospitality by guiding guests through the cheesebox & retail area.
- Processes payments and operates a cash register including the ability to efficiently look products up in the system. (Toast is the POS)
- Multitask between making sandwiches and charcuterie boards for the restaurant and retail.
- Arranges a retail display correctly and ensures it’s visually appealing to guests.
- Properly handles and packages all Togo orders including large catering orders.
- Follows health code procedures including proper sanitization of equipment, labeling, and storing products according to health department guidelines.
- Stocks inventory from transfers.
- Cash Handling.
- Adheres to uniform standards.
- Follow proper health and safety guidelines.
- You may be called upon from time to time to perform other duties that may not be included in your job description at the management’s discretion.
