POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Quality Control & Returns Lead
REPORTS TO: Distribution Manager
DEPARTMENT: Distribution Center
LOCATION: Lewisville
HAY LEVEL: I
STATUS: Full time, exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Distribution Manager, will own the process for authorized product returns. This will include new product weight and dimension recordings. She/he will also functionally oversee the Quality Assurance function of the entire operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Validate returned products/items contents against original shipping order communicating any problems or variances and report to the Quality operations team in a regular basis.
- Communicate with Quality any deviations or quality alerts from: Reception (incoming), Assortment lines, finished product sent from Jafra Manufacturing (Querétaro), product delivered by third party manufacturers.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and good registration and documentation practices in each of the documents received with the finished product sent from Jafra Manufacturing (Querétaro) & product delivered by third party manufacturers.
- Carry out, if necessary, resampling and inspection of the finished product sent from Jafra Manufacturing (Querétaro) & product delivered by third party manufacturers that have potential Quality risks.
- Generation of information and reports required for the elaboration of the indicators (KPI's) of the area.
- Ensure the protection, integrity, and validity of the standards of the finished product Jafra Manufacturing (Querétaro) & product delivered by third party manufacturers.
- Ensure the protection of the product that is in quarantine (microbiological analysis time, quality risk, etc.) so that it is not used in the assortment lines.
- Responsible for documental control in site.
- Guarantee that the product meets the shelf life to follow the requirement/ Own and coordinate the mass disposal of expired product from the warehouse through the dump ITD process.
- In case of any rework guarantee the sampling process per MIL-STD and conclude the proper disposition of the product.
- Communicate with CRT the returns order contents verified and receive approval from CRT for further processing, i.e., goods disposition.
- Coordinate the shipping quality testing for the Distribution Center: setting up tests, verifying contents, UPS labels, spot checking in the truck, the pick line, etc.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of transactions related to overall product movement within the area and properly inform the inventory control department.
- Verify the accuracy of all ITDs before shipping.
- Maintain the Returns Computer Log and Returns Processing Area in an orderly fashion.

All other duties are as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: High School diploma, minimum two years college/trade school or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years working in a distribution center. Experience in the quality field preferable.
SKILLS: PC skills that include the knowledge of Windows programs such as Excel & MS Word.
OTHER: Must be able to routinely perform the physical task of opening, lifting, and transporting boxes. At least 50% of workday will be spend standing.
