Work location is 222 Chestnut Street, Harrisburg

Must have experience analyzing, interpreting, and applying federal student aid regulations to complete federal verifications and experience determining federal, state, and third-party eligibility and processing awards using Department of Education resources. Must be able to assist students with payment plans and help them navigate third-party applications to apply for funding.

Purpose:
Administers the student financial aid program at the UPMC schools of nursing. Provides financial aid and assistance to eligible students and maintains financial aid records.

Responsibilities:

• Assists graduating students with payment plans
• Provides financial aid and assistance to eligible students.
• Provides guidance regarding financial aid options.
• Administers the financial aid program for the school and complies with federal and state regulations.
• Implements school policies and promotes attainment of school goals.
• Interacts and communicates effectively with students.
• Works cooperatively and productively with applicants, students, faculty, staff and others.
• Assists with the administration of the admission process and recruitment activities for the schools.
• Completes special projects and assignments as directed.
• Maintains financial aid records.
• Maintains knowledge regarding financial aid options.
