Based in West Hartford CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern, Business Development to join our West Hartford, CT team.
The Bus. Dev. Intern will support a range of technical responsibilities in a high pace manufacturing production environment. The internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.
The ideal candidate will conduct research and create material in support of the Business Development group efforts to capture additional Military and Commercial orders and support work. Thie position will require research, analysis, data-mining, and customer feedback compilation and reports findings to Director of Aftermarket Bus Dev.
•Run the CQR process- opening/tracking/suggesting pricing for both purchased and make parts.
•Analyze win/loss rates.
•Review Govgistics and determine which parts should be referred to Distribution Network and quoted by TECS.
•Analyze which Distributor is winning the most work by volume and $$.
•Review contracts (MRO mostly) and perform Contract Review for BD/PM.
•Rising Junior or Senior
•Minimum GPA of 3.0
•Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Administration, International Business, or similar fields.
•Good interpersonal skills including leadership, diplomacy, and negotiation are desired. This position involves interaction with customers and senior executives.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to follow standard work.
•Good writing ability.
•Self-motivated with good interpersonal and team skills. Previous experience with product development highly desired.
•Fluent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS project.
•Innovative approach for driving process efficiencies and cost reduction.
•Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
