Project Manager

As a Barclays Project Manager, you will be leading complex and highly visible programs or projects that cut across the business, operations, and technology by developing a plan, analyzing potential risks and benefits, working with your business partners to land on the best solutions, and driving your team to deliver through completion. It’s an exciting chance to be driving financial accountability and transparency through budget management, monitoring, and reporting of forecast vs. actuals.

What will you be doing?

•    Driving a universal project plan with distributed ownership across the team for an end to end delivery  
•    Tracking upcoming deliverables and ensuring completion of project milestones and tasks
•    Recognizing potential risks or issues quickly, escalating effectively, and building remediation plans
•    Creating project plans using MS project in collaboration with all key stakeholders including workstream level delivery
•    Promoting effective working relationships with stakeholders 
•    Driving financial accountability and transparency through budget management, monitoring, and reporting of forecast vs. actuals
•    Providing current status and updates on projects to program manager, partners and internal project teams
•    Applying lessons learned from completed projects

What we’re looking for:

•     Five years of project management experience, managing projects 
•    Self-motivated, quick, and assertive
•    Excellent communication with tech and business teams
•    Detail-oriented and organized

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Familiarity with card and payments, or other financial industry 
•    Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools(JIRA, Confluence)
•    Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
•    Good interpersonal skills
