Position : Business Analyst

Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

A. Accountable for business analysis activities for initiatives, including:

1. Identifying business and functional requirements

2. test cases

3. Complete training

B. Handle business relationships with assigned counterparts in business and/or operating groups

C. Create business requirements and test plans for assigned initiatives

D. Partner with business and IT owners to assist with business case definition and project chartering

E. Proactively identify key issues and assist the project manager in mitigation and resolution

F. Partner with the project manager to transition new solution capabilities to the appropriate application owner

and/or support team

G. Engage with cross-functional business teams to ensure access to subject matter experts (SME's)

H. Cultivate business relationships across the organization to promote the Portfolio Management capability

I. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

J. All other duties or special projects as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work

experience

B. Minimum four years of IT and business/industry work experience, with 3 years of business analysis

C. Experience with Microsoft Office, Process Modeling tools, creating flow charts and diagrams

D. Previous experience providing business analysis for IT projects in a dynamic environment

E. Previous experience with process improvement efforts

F. Exposure to various SDLC methodologies and tools including, but not limited to Agile, Waterfall preferred

G. Experience with 'build' and 'buy' IT projects (software as a service/Saas, mobile apps, custom build

solutions and large ERP systems) preferred

H. Familiarity with IIBA, CBAP or other industry leading methods preferred

Ideal Candidate:

- Strong in HR

- Specifically Payroll - Prevailing wage will be the primary focus of this project

- This will be working with Paul Wax on the inflation reduction act

- They have a ton of reports to go through, and needs this person to have a strong voice, since the group is changing their minds over and over on scope.

- Need someone who can push back and stick to a scope

- Good documentation and requirement gathering is key for this role.
