Job description

Park Properties Management Co seeks a college student for a paid Accounting Internship at our headquarters in Charlottesville, VA.

The Accounting Intern will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude. In addition, a high level of confidentiality must be maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Shadow members of the accounting department as they perform their duties.
• Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
• Prepare financial reports and other documents.
• Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Learn how to work as part of an accounting team
• Additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations

Qualifications:

• Exceptional organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and follow through skills are essential
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Work well with others
• Received or pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance

Paid internship position for Summer 2024.
