The Role
The Factory Software team is responsible for building software solutions that allow the company to redefine manufacturing and production. Our software enables users to virtually control the manufacturing process and machines, interact with and track the flow of production material, and get quick and powerful insights about the line.
We are looking for a highly motivated Tier 1 Technician to join the Factory Software team. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer support, debugging and manufacturing systems. You will be the first point of contact for all manufacturing system related issues and are responsible for ensuring issues are resolved or escalated to the appropriate teams. This role's schedule is subject to the manufacturing lines schedule.
Responsibilities - Triage all manufacturing and warehouse systems issues and ensure they are getting resolved or escalated to the appropriate teams
- Familiar with system access management processes, roles, and responsibility assignment
- Work directly with Tier 2 engineers and users on the production floor to understand issues and provide solutions in real-time
- Be able to resolve issues quickly and precisely to completion and prioritize multiple tasks
- Troubleshoot basic network, software, printing problems
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs
- Able to perform repetitious detail assignments and data processing
Requirements - Excellent written and communication skills
- Good understanding of Windows OS
- 2 years' experience supporting Windows desktop/laptop computers
- Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and a self-starter
- Individual must be well versed in all Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Degree in Computer Science or Industrial Engineering is a plus, or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems(MES, WMS, ERP) is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Must be flexible to work weekends and any shift
