**Job Details:**

As a Specialist Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll accounting, supporting indirect tax reporting and compliance, and maintaining and monitoring controls.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Approve change reports and payroll previews for all North America pay groups before submission to ADP.
- Review payroll ledger reports for accuracy, prepare journal entries, and coordinate ledger posting with KBS.
- Lead staff cost recharges, including counterparty alignment, purchase order coordination, and invoicing.
- Reconcile talent cost-related balance sheet accounts monthly and liaise with FP&A, HR, and payroll departments as necessary to ensure balance sheet integrity.
- Ensure compliance with payroll accounting controls, including securing proper approvals and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Prepare monthly headcount reporting and schedules to support OneStream actuals reporting.
- Liaise with the payroll department to research and resolve one-off issues.
- Ensure proper accounting for costs and liabilities related to indirect taxes.
- Reconcile sales & use tax liability accounts monthly.
- Extract Maconomy data for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales & use tax return preparation by state.
- Prepare and submit online sales & use tax returns and related payments.
- Review Sage FAS data to prepare Personal Property Tax returns by state as required.
- Collect and maintain client sales tax exemption certificates where applicable.
- Support the Indirect Tax Manager in responding to state sales & use tax audits.
- Coordinate response to internal and external audit requests and secure, prepare, and upload relevant documentation.
- Support the Cluster/Country controller with ad hoc analysis as required.
- Participate in special finance projects as required, including process improvement initiatives and M&A activities.

**Skills & Experience Required:**

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

- BS/BA/BBA in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial accounting role.
- General knowledge of US state sales tax.
- Experience in reviewing financial reports and other local reporting requirements.
- Experience working in a global environment and matrixed organization.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to lead and influence stakeholders and management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of an organization.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Understanding of the business and key drivers behind state sales taxability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, processes, and workflow technology.
- Familiarity with sales & use tax governance in any state preferred.
