Atlas is a rapidly expanding company supporting the U.S. Military and other Government entities and we are seeking a passionate, flexible, and highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals onsite in Charleston SC.

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the entire procurement process, from supplier selection and negotiations to contract management and inventory control. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure timely procurement of goods and services that meet quality standards while optimizing costs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of procurement principles.

Pay Range: $54,294 - $80,357, depending on experience.

Travel up to 10%

You Will:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization's needs while minimizing risk and cost.
• Evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and service, and make recommendations to management.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and contractual conditions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and provide expert advice on sourcing strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order creation, delivery, and invoicing.
• Monitor and track inventory levels, ensuring optimum stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
• Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to process vendor invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

You Have:

• US Citizenship
• Possession of or the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
• Associate's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, best practices, and relevant regulations.
• Prior military logistics experience is highly valued.
• Proficient in using procurement systems and software.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of vendor management and supplier selection processes.
• Familiarity with inventory management concepts and techniques.
