Working within the context of the communities we serve, we provide planning, engineering, and infrastructure management services that fit the needs of our clients and improve the overall transportation experience. Join our team and help us keep communities connected.

Your Opportunity

Our Midwest team is growing and we need an experienced design engineer to lead a design team within our Transportation practice. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to find new ways of improving the transportation experience for communities in our backyard, across North America, and around the globe. With the deep and varied resources from across Stantec at your disposal, you will have the opportunity to use your imagination to find new ways of improving transportation and identifying solutions that meet client needs.

Your creativity will be applied to a variety of projects including rural and urban roadway designs, interstate and interchanges, roundabouts, active transportation, smart cities, and more.

You will play a primary role in guiding and growing our design teams throughout the Midwest. You will join a dedicated group of professionals who are eager to take their capabilities to the next level and more fully leverage the resources and expertise of a global company. In this role, you will connect with potential clients, mentor and guide employees, and lead projects to further establish our organization as a top transportation engineering firm. Your work will include coordinating with, and provide support to, the Transportation and Community Development teams on projects throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and beyond.

The ideal candidate will bring a vision to life by bringing together top talent to deliver great solutions while actively designing transportation projects. As a senior design engineer, you will deliver projects within scope and budget; provide compliant and technically sound designs; manage, coach, and mentor resources effectively; proactively build relationships within an organization; and actively manage, maintain, and expand external client relationships.
