Job description
After training period of at least 30 days, may work remotely from home for approximately 50% of the work week. Any remaining work days will be in the office in Montpelier, VT.
As a Financial Analyst for a Central Vermont Medical Center, you will:
support the operational decision-making team to inform the way the hospital serves its patients;
enjoy a mix of routine and varied tasks and projects and the flexibility to structure your work day to meet necessary deadlines; and
appreciate a broad scope of work and the opportunity to learn to support different areas of the organization as part of a close-knit financial analyst team.
Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst strongly preferred. Journal entry, reconciliation, and analysis (KPI, staffing/FTE, productivity) skills highly desirable.
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance & Accounting, the Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation and monitoring of the organization’s budget, management of the organization’s several Financial and Accounting systems/processes, assisting with ad hoc financial planning, and supporting departments in using financial and statistical metrics for monitoring performance.
Job Requirements
A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field required. Computer literacy within p.c., mainframe, and networked environments, as well as general knowledge of business software applications, i.e. spreadsheet, word-processing, flowcharting, graph and database software.
6-10 years experience in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology preferably in a healthcare, not for profit, or government setting with proven budgeting and financial analyst skills.
