Job description

PCB Designer - Southlake, TX Goal(s) of this Position Design and develop printed circuit boards. Generates documentation using computer aided drafting (CAD) for Gerbers files, assembly drawings and fabrication drawings. Tasks and Responsibilities PCB Designer I • Designs and develops printed circuit boards using computer aided drafting (CAD) • Generate assembly, and fabrication drawings • Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role • Generate PCB Design Files • Associate degree is required, or equivalent experience combined with High School diploma or GED. • Experience with PCB CAD software • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint PCB Designer II In addition to the PCB Designer I • Designs PCB layouts for complex, hi-speed, multi-layer boards • Generate Panel Drawing • Verifies footprint compatibility for alternate components • Associate degree is required, or equivalent experience combined with High School diploma or GED. • Experience with PCB CAD software (Mentor Graphics Xpedition, DxDesigner, Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics PADS) • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint PCB Designer III In addition to the PCB Designer II • Creates and maintains Parts Library • Creates schematics from Engineer’s design input • Resolve PCB fabrication issues • Associate degree is required, or equivalent experience combined with High School diploma or GED. • Experience with PCB CAD software (Mentor Graphics Xpedition, DxDesigner, Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics PADS) • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • 7 - 10 years of related technical experience. Senior PCB Designer In addition to the PCB Designer III • Installs and maintains CAD software • Tests and verifies CAD software updates prior to installing on users’ computers • CAD training for new users • Troubleshoot CAD software errors/issues • Associates degree is required or equivalent experience combined with High School diploma or GED. • Experience with PCB CAD software (Mentor Graphics Xpedition, DxDesigner Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics PADS) • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • 10+ years of related technical experience.
