Position: API Integration Developer with Exposure to CargoWise

Location: Remote

Hire Type: Contract

We are seeking a skilled API Integration Lead Developer with experience working with CargoWise, a leading logistics software solution. This position is remote and offered on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on and thorough understanding of 4000 cargo tables within CargoWise.
• Integrate systems with the CargoWise API, ensuring smooth communication and data exchange.
• Register for API access with CargoWise support and manage API credentials for authentication.
• Familiarize yourself with CargoWise API documentation, understanding available endpoints and data formats.
• Develop and implement API requests using appropriate client libraries and programming languages.
• Handle API responses efficiently, extracting necessary data and integrating it into the system.
• Implement robust error handling mechanisms to gracefully manage potential issues such as invalid credentials, rate limiting, or network connectivity problems.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an API Integration Developer, with specific exposure to CargoWise.
• Proficiency in handling and understanding complex cargo tables within CargoWise.
• Familiarity with CargoWise API and experience with API integration projects.
• Strong understanding of protocols and RESTful APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience with error handling techniques and strategies.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, .net, Python, JavaScript, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Certification or training in CargoWise or related logistics software.
• Familiarity with JSON and XML data formats.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
