Responsibilities: • Refer patient to dental specialists such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate • Inspect the patients’ teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments to identify any areas of dental diseases and determine the overall state of dental health • Recommend and perform preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated • Conduct work that is compliant with office policies and procedures; safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines; and infection and infectious diseases control standards • Teach patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene Qualifications: • Computer proficiency is desired • Great communication skills and bedside manner are vital • A Doctor of Dental Surgery/DDS or Doctor of Dental Medicine/ DMD degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor’s degree are required • Two years of dentistry experience in clinical or private practice is required • Requires CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications Experience: • Open to new grad DDS as training & mentorship are offered. However, prefer to have experience with extractions, bone grafting, and endo.
