Job description

Responsibilities:

The opportunity:

• Fixed asset and lease accounting with journal entries preparation/input

• Reconcile fixed asset or lease balance sheet accounts.

• Assist in monthly financial reporting.

• Assist with new lease process.

• Provide analytical support related to fixed assets and lease accounting.

• Complete ad hoc analytics and special projects

• Work on the merger accounting activities by integrating ledgers into the main accounting system (JDE).

• Review and reconcile fixed assets reports received from subsidiaries.

• Provide assistance in the continuous improvement process.

• Take the initiative to learn the role and how it impacts the financials statements.

• Demonstrate accountability in a fast paced and changing environment.

• Foster an environment of strong customer service.

• Identify and execute opportunities for process improvement.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience with a large company

• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills with an emphasis in Excel

• ERP systems experience. Comprehensive understanding of various integrated financial and accounting systems.

• Alteryx experience preferred.

• Initiative-taking/self-driven work habits with demonstrated ability to lead change and improve processes.

• Problem solving/analytical skills.

• Knowledge of US GAAAP

• Ability to research technical accounting issues, propose solutions and stay on top of the progress until full resolution.

• Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communications capabilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively across the organization.

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, demanding, and changing environment.

• Must be flexible and able to work well to meet tight deadlines.
