Job description

International Ride Training, the Gold Standard in Ride Operations Safety Services to the Attractions Industry, is growing! We are looking for a motivated, safety-oriented, and analytical associate consultant to join our team. The Associate Consultant will support all of IRT’s auditing and training programs for clients across the globe. The Consultant will travel extensively visiting client facilities to conduct ride operations certification and performance auditing, lead on-site training, and represent IRT to the global attractions industry. · The International Ride Operator Certification or “iROC” program – the world’s only third-party certification of ride and aquatic operator safety, professionalism, and efficiency; 

· Learning the ROPES: Ride Operations Professionalism, Efficiency, and Safety – an online training program specifically designed for the front-line ride operator;

· ADA FAQ: Disability Training for the Attractions Industry – a first-of-its-kind accessibility training program targeted toward front-line employees in the attractions industry;

· On-Site Auditing programs for all aspects of ride operator performance and documentation compliance; and

· In-Person training and development programs for all levels of the attractions industry.

Who Are We Going To Hire?We’re looking for an Associate Ride Operations Consultant to join our team. We are offering a base salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 depending upon experience and qualifications. IRT also offers:

· Three weeks paid time off per year;

NOTE: IRT does not offer medical, dental, or life insurance benefits at this time.

Requirements:

· A minimum of five-years experience in a full-time management role in Ride or Aquatic Operations at an amusement park, theme park, water park, or family entertainment center. Prior experience with the International Ride Operator Certification program preferred.

· Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks by established deadlines.

· Ability to travel extensively (may include International Travel) and sometimes on short-notice. This position will be expected to travel approximately 80% from May through August, with significant travel during the remainder of the year as well.

· Ability to work outside of normal business hours including weekends.

· Ability to write analytically and professionally in an efficient manner. 

· Excellent verbal communication skills with both clients and internal IRT Team Members and Owners.

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

· Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Software products preferred including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Sharepoint.

· Familiarity with Pheedloop Event Planning software preferred.

· Familiarity with relevant ASTM F24 and/or EN Standards for ride operation preferred.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct on-site performance and certification auditing at client facilities in the United States, Canada, Australia, and/or Europe as assigned.

· Draft client deliverables including analytic reports, checklists, and manuals in accordance with established timelines.

· Facilitate client meetings to discuss audit results following completion of on-site ride operations audits.

· Assist, as assigned, with: 

o Drafting and editing of Standard Operating Procedures Manuals for ride and aquatic attractions;

o Updating and editing iROC Instructor & Operator Resource Manuals, ADA FAQ Handbook, and Learning the ROPES Operator Handbook

o Preparation of iROC Annual Client Reports;

o Assist with administrative tasks for IRT’s Annual Safety Conference (Ride Camp)

· Design and lead on-site training programs, as assigned, for IRT Clients as well as for attractions industry associations and trade groups.

· Other duties as assigned.

Where Will You Work?International Ride Training is based in Nashville, Tennessee. However, this is a remote “work-from-home” position. Applicants based in the United States or Canada are preferred.
