Overview:
The Department of Mathematical Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Science is a vibrant, dynamic department that offers programs with a wide range of resources and options to students. Math programs help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The department will interact with virtually every student during their time at Northern Illinois University ( NIU ).
Position Summary:
The Teacher Certification Coordinator has responsibility for organization and administration of the Teacher Certification Program in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. They serve as a liaison with College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and assistance to the Department chair in program administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain Accreditation
Supervise and Evaluate Teaching Students
Mentor Students
Placement of Teaching Interns
Assist Department Chair
