Chiropractic Technician Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized, neatly presented Chiropractic Technician to be responsible for handling patient care with active and passive therapy application, including the administration of diagnostic assessments as well as assisting in front desk and administrative duties.

To be successful as a Chiropractic Technician, you must be able to work with sensitive patient data and maintain confidentiality. You should also be able to multitask without sacrificing accuracy in your work. Top candidates will be detail-oriented and service-driven, with excellent customer service skills.

Chiropractic Technician Responsibilities:

· Work amicably with co-workers and participate with a TEAM mentality

· Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival.

· Preparing treatment rooms prior to appointments.

· Administering screening assessments, such as blood pressure, temperature, height and weight.

· Application of passive therapies on patients (EMS pads, traction table set up).

· Teaching and assisting patients with active therapies (stretching machines, bands, exercise balls, etc).

· Ensuring that the waiting area always remains in excellent condition.

· Answering phone calls and responding to e-mails.

· Collecting payment from patients.

· Scheduling appointments.

· Collecting and recording patients' personal and medical information.

· Verifying payment methods, including patients' health insurance coverage.

· Presenting payment options to patients, including insurance benefits.

· Tracking inventory.

· Provide occasional coverage in other Ariya office locations within the Richmond area, as needed.

· Attend all mandatory training meetings

Chiropractic Technician Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word.

· Strong customer service skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

· Well-groomed, professional appearance.

· Able to work evenings.

· Reliable transportation.

· Willingness to drive to other Ariya office locations in the Richmond area, to provide coverage.

· Some administrative experience, preferably within a healthcare setting.

· Customer service experience (restaurant or retail) is a plus.

· Initial training will take place at the Colonial Heights Ariya location for a duration of 4-6 weeks.

Work Hours:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday:

8:15am-6:15pm (with a 1 hour lunch break).

Tuesday:

8:15am-12:15pm

Friday:

8:15am-1:15pm
