Job description

New York State Parent Teacher Association, the oldest and largest child advocacy association in New York, is looking for a full‐time Membership/Field Service Associate, primarily responsible for working with our volunteer membership team to recruit and grow NYS PTA membership statewide, and maintain our data base systems.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinates activities related to billing, tracking, analyzing and reporting PTA membership and NYS PTA insurance information.

· Communicates with units with high levels of customer service on membership and other PTA matters

· Assist local PTAs with bylaws, and works on the creation or dissolution of local PTA units

· Serves as primary system administration for NYS PTA Data Management Systems

· Maintains website pages for membership, systems and bylaws

· Performs complex data entry and electronic uploads

· Work with Financial Associate to support insurance program

· Works with volunteers from across state

Qualifications: This is not an entry level position. Two-year college degree or equivalent experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with data systems management is required. Past experience with Salesforce is helpful, but not required. Knowledge of PTA and/or non-profit organizations is recommended, but not required.

At least two years of experience in customer service, data entry, and project coordination is required. Applicants must have strong computer and office technology skills including proficiency with management of data systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. Candidates should demonstrate ability to work independently on a variety of tasks with attention to detail and accuracy, and have strong writing and verbal communication skills.
