BC Forward is currently seeking a highly motivated Localization Program Manager for an opportunity in Palo Alto, CA Onsite

Position Title: Localization Program Manager I

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Anticipated Start Date: 3/8/2024.

Expected Duration: 6 Months

Job Type: CONTRACT/ ON-SITE

Pay Range: $45 - $50 /Hr On W2

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.)

Job Description:

Role Mandate:

Languages are key to our mission of bringing the world closer together. The Client family of products is currently available in 100+ languages and we are adding many more. Over 70% of people use our products in a language other than English, and ~90% are outside of North America. As a Localization Program Manager, you will partner with product and the rest of internationalization teams to empower Client products to feel local at a global scale.

Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

* Engage and build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Marketing, etc.) to launch successful localized products

* Design and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks tailored to various products and diverse content types across Client

Must-Have Skills:

* 3+ years of experience in localization, or equivalent project management or program management experience

* Experience communicating across and driving results among a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, working across time zones and international offices

* Experience analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions

* Skilled in building and optimizing complex workflows (at least worked on even if not built)

Look for people who have worked on Localization QA, product localization - testing, quality audits.

Nice-to-Have:

* Knowledge of additional languages other than English

* Thorough understanding of translation technologies like translation memories, machine translation, and CAT tools

* Familiarity with internationalization standards such as Unicode and CLDR

* Knowledge of AI technologies and potential application in localization workflows

* Any experience with data analysis

* Former Client - should have exp with Localization

Educational Requirements:

* BA/BS or 2+ years equivalent work experience in localization, internationalization, project management, or program management
