We're looking for a Channel Sales Account Manager to manage and drive the success of UltiMaker’s authorized value-added reseller partners. Working with UltiMaker’s America’s Team, you will be working alongside our partners to find new opportunities and close sales for one of the leading providers of desktop 3D Printers. You’ll help with end-user presentations, train sales teams, and regularly meet with sales leadership for goal setting and forecasting.
As Channel Sales Account Manager, you will:
Build and Manage Relationships with Partners:
- Host regular meetings or check-ins to discuss partner needs and opportunities.
- Manage major accounts and partner relationships, identifying growth and expansion opportunities in new and existing relationships.
Analyze Markets and Develop Strategies:
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Develop targeted sales strategies for different regions or partner segments.
- Maintain knowledge of competitive systems, pricing, and practices to inform strategic planning.
Educate and Train Channel Partners and Customers:
- Distribute training materials, product guides, and comprehensive product manuals.
- Train resellers and their account executives on product features, best practices, and sales techniques.
- Learn everything there is to know about selling and marketing UltiMaker 3D printers, filament, and accessories to position the products with resellers and customers.
Monitor and Manage Performance and Sales Pipeline:
- Set and track sales targets and performance metrics for each partner.
- Provide regular performance feedback and actionable insights to partners.
- Manage the day-to-day development of the pipeline and oversee deal registrations through the opportunity funnel, which is crucial for forecasting closed-won opportunities.
Provide Promotional and Marketing Support:
- Develop marketing initiatives with partners to support the growth of the accounts under management.
- Assist partners in generating new sales leads through joint account planning, email, phone, end-user presentations, onsite visits, and tradeshows.
Collect and Implement Feedback:
- Facilitate a feedback loop where partners can easily share their experiences and suggestions.
- Resolve Conflicts and Solve Problems including mediating issues between partners and the company to find mutually beneficial solutions.
- Implement systematic approaches to prevent recurring problems.
Drive Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Initiate projects to enhance partner program structures and benefits.
- Collaborate with product development teams to inform product innovations based on partner feedback.
As Channel Sales Account Manager, you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in sales, client support, marketing, or partner development. Channel experience is preferred.
- Relationship Building: The ability to establish and maintain strong, productive relationships with partners, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strategic Thinking: Skill in developing and implementing comprehensive channel strategies that align with the overall business goals.
- Communication and Writing Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey messages, updates, and strategies to partners and internal teams, including strong presentation abilities.
- Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in analyzing market trends, partner performance data, and sales metrics to make informed decisions.
- Reporting and Data Analysis: Competence in creating detailed reports on channel performance, using tools like Google Sheets and CRM programs like Salesforce.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to quickly identify challenges and obstacles within channel partnerships and develop effective solutions.
- Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with channel partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Product Knowledge: A deep understanding of the products or services being offered to effectively educate and inform channel partners.
- Marketing Acumen: Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics to support partners in promoting products effectively to end-users.
- Project Management: Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for both self and team to meet business requirements and deadlines.
- Initiative in Business Development: Ability to initiate and maintain new business relationships, including comfort with cold calling to identify new resellers.
- Performance-Driven: Strong ability to manage relationships and thrive in a performance-driven position.
- Location and Accessibility: Hybrid within New York City or Remote within 30 minutes of a major metropolitan airport to ensure readiness for travel and meetings.
Previous experience with channel partners, professional experience with 3D printing, and/or Spanish as a second language is a significant plus.
