Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator Salary : $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator Hours : Up to 29 hours per week. Monday - Friday, weekend and special events if organized. (part-time)
Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator Responsibilities :
- Provide overall coordination of weight room, wellness center, work out rooms, etc, including strategic monitoring and developing preventative maintenance on fitness equipment
- Provide overall supervision and coordination of fitness staff
- Ensure the proper operation of all healthy living programs, lunch n learns, community programs
- Work collaboratively on healthy living projects with other branches within the Association as needed
- Work with outside agencies such for Lunch N Learns, Community Outreach, etc. to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds; ensure necessary OSHA requirements are in place
- Develop budgets supporting the preventative and annual maintenance plans and monitors expenditures against budget
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule, and direct assigned staff and volunteers; review and evaluates performance; develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals; demonstrate relationship-building skills and collaborative teamwork in all interactions
- Participates with other members of management in the YMCA's fundraising campaign
- Advise management on maintenance issues and projects as requested
- Ensure that assigned fitness licenses (and other equipment) are maintained and operated in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA and any legal regulations
- Update fitness/gym schedules periodically; consistent with the YMCA's strategic plan and community needs
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities related to social media marketing may be assigned.
Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator Qualifications :
- Associates Degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One or more nationally recognized personal training or coaching certifications.
- Previous supervisory experience in healthy lifestyles or related field
- Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Skilled in supervision, budget management and project management
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Good analytical/critical thinking
- CPR, First Aid and AED certifications are required within thirty (30) days of employment
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
- Able to effectively communicate and build relationships with Y staff, members, and vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good customer service skills, high ethical standards, an appropriate professional image, and a team player
- Must possess sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment skills, and a positive attitude
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
