Solution Architect

$72/hr – $77/hr

Grow your career as a Solution Architect with an innovative global bank in New Castle, DE. Contract role with strong possibility of extension and/or conversion. Will require working a hybrid schedule 3 days onsite per week.

Required Skills & Experience

+ BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar technical field.

+ 8 to 10+ years of software architecture, design experience.

+ Experience in working on a large-scale project as Solution Architect.

+ Working experience adopting Agile methodology.

Technical/Functional Proficiency:

+ A good understanding of the banking and functions including payments, DDA functionality.

+ Technical/Solution Architect experience designing and building applications.

+ Experience building scalable, high throughput, fault toleration applications in Financial Industry including banking, payments, digital experience applications.

+ Application architecture and design experience in RDBMS (Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB).

+ Hands on with Java, JavaScript, APIs, Microservices and modern technologies.

+ Good understanding on SSO authentication, authorizations, web tokens, APIs.

+ Familiar with architectural patterns – Microservices, event-driven (Solace or Kafka), CQRS .

+ Understand Non-Functional Requirements (HA, Performance, Scalability, Security) and design solution accordingly.

+ Design solution should cover both Function and Non-Functional requirements.

+ Hands-on experience and demonstrated skills for creating architecture documents, diagrams.

+ Document the solution in both descriptive and diagram form (Logical Architecture, UML Sequence diagram, Use Case diagram).

+ Hands-on experience in creating functional flow diagrams, data flows, user experience flow diagrams.

Leadership Skills:

+ Leadership and strong communication skills.

+ Experience collaborating with large number of diverse application teams.

+ Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and functional.
