Job description

Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a Program in Las Vegas. The System Administrator works with Windows servers, virtualization, storage systems, etc. and as a Network Engineer managing all network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, etc.

You will work with our federal clients and related third parties to build, monitor and maintain both server and network systems for technology initiatives, including online products, content management systems, classified projects and network infrastructure. You will perform server and network development and management through the entire life-cycle while working with Federal management and the Software Engineering team to prioritize deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities. Looking for a candidate that understands systems life-cycle and is very analytical with problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues. This takes a wide array of expertise including Windows, Linux, Storage, Cisco networking, etc.

What You'll Do

• Configure, manage and monitor daily network operations to maintain and increase network effectiveness
• Evaluate and recommends networking processes, tools and/or software to be used in satisfying business and IT operational needs
• Manage all network related issues on the ACN (unclassified NNSA network), Dlan (physical security – cameras, swipe devices), CIIRN (now part of ESN high side), and HQ VDI Central-W networks. This includes all switches and routers.
• Manage all firewalls requests/issues on ACN, DLAN, CIIRN, and HQ VDI Central-W.

Systems Administrator

• Perform software installations/upgrades, OS upgrades, security patches & hardware upgrades on Windows servers (Server 2003 – 2016)
• Manage Active Directory and Group Policy for ACN, DLAN, CIIRN and HQ VDI Central-W environments.
• Build/Configure new physical and virtual servers according to the Security Baseline Configuration Specifications.
• In charge of racking, cabling and managing power for all new equipment to include implementation and decommission following federal government regulations and procedures

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
