Job Summary:

Join our team as a Bilingual Patient Advocate and become the bridge between uninsured hospital patients and the assistance programs that can cover their medical expenses. Located in the heart of Corona, CA, this role offers a fulfilling opportunity to connect with patients, hospital staff, and government agencies, ensuring that everyone gets the support they need.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Screen uninsured hospital patients to assess eligibility for federal, state, and/or county medical or disability assistance.
Assist patients in completing necessary applications and guide them through the approval process.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient cases.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients and stakeholders.
Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on relevant programs and regulations.
Collaborate with hospital staff and external agencies to facilitate patient assistance.
Manage patient accounts and follow up on application statuses.
Conduct inbound and outbound calls, tracking paperwork and submissions.
Assist applicants with gathering required documentation and scheduling appointments.
Ensure timely communication of approval or denial of coverage to applicants.
Stay abreast of changes in processes, systems, and government programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience in a hospital setting is advantageous.
Adaptability to changing processes and environments.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Excellent multitasking abilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Home internet connection meeting company's criteria for remote positions.
