Administrative & Database Coordinator Location Columbia, SC (Saint Andrews area) :

The SC Department on Aging is seeking a dynamic individual to join our State Long Term Care Ombudsman's Program team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of administrative functions , database management, developing standard operating procedures for database, and compliance with reporting. Candidate should have the ability to exercise judgment and discretion, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. An overview and the job purpose are: Serves as the Administrative Coordinator for the Office of the State Long Term Care Ombudsman Program. Plans, coordinates and performs multiple administrative activities in support of the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program and the Healthy Connections Prime Ombudsman Program. Serves as the WellSky Database Manager; directs the activities of regional personnel responsible for entering data; creates and implements standardized database management procedures and oversees database upgrades. Develops, maintains, monitors, and supports low complexity database management systems (DBMS. Develops and monitors compliance with quarterly and annual reports. 1. Provide technical assistance to state office staff and 32 Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Long Term Care Ombudsmen staff. Procures and provides auxilliary services/supplies to state office and regional staff. 2. Serves as WellSky Database Manager; directs the activities of regional personnel responsible for entering data; creates and implements standardized database management procedures; monitors data for federal compliance; oversees database upgrades. 3. Manages the SLED Complaint Intake Process and provides administrative support to the Long Term Care Ombudsman (state office and regional) and Prime Ombudsman staff. 4. Coordinates special projects to include data retrieval for state and federal reports, organizes LTCOP trainings/conferences. 5. Develops and conducts training for Ombudsman certification process; provide training and information on advance directives and the Living Will Witness program to AAAs and at request of community members. 6. Ensures data security and protection through the application of data classification, user/group management and access controls. 7. Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience. Skilled in the development, implementation, and administration of low to moderately complex database systems. Advanced computer skills; proficient in Excel; exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner using good judgement and discretion; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
