Description

SAIC is seeking a  Contractor Program Security Officer to support the Horizon program's execution of providing advisory and assistance services to the Space Systems Command Program Executive Office's Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power and Battle Management, Command, Control and Communications systems portfolios in El Segundo, California.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the preparation of security plans, reviewing applicable guidelines, and established procedures for all areas of security to include Personnel, Information, Physical/Technical, Communication, and Program Security as well as Classification Management

• Perform duties of Facility Security Officer such as preparing Systems Security Plans and Fixed Facility Checklists

• Conducting daily activities such as providing security pre-screening on all potential employees, subcontractor and consultants; indoctrination briefings and debriefings; Security Awareness Training and Education briefings; processing pre and post foreign travel requests and perform foreign travel briefings etc.

• Supporting management of classified information systems to include perform weekly audits and assisting with decommissioning

• Perform duties of COMSEC Responsible Officer

Qualifications

This is you:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience or 4 additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree

• Experience p erforming duties as a Security Officer for an organization that has requirements levied by the government
• Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable) 
• Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination

Desired Qualifications:

• Security+ CE certification

• Experience utilizing customer databases such as Defense Information Security Services (or the legacy Joint Personnel Adjudication System), Scattered Castles and, or APICs

• Experience with Special Access Programs

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
