Kelly Scientific is searching for a skilled Product Compliance Specialist to join a growing Health, Safety & Environment Team in Schaumburg, IL . This client is a leading supplier of essential materials for the Wind Energy, Aerospace, Defense, Consumer Recreation, and?Construction Composites Manufacturing industries.
Title : Product Compliance Specialist
Location : Schaumburg, IL
Salary : $100-110k
As a Product Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and supporting systems and processes in accordance with global compliance requirements. You will provide support to the procurement team with the management of supply chain product compliance and be responsible for the evaluation of dangerous goods for safe handling in accordance all regulatory agencies, as well as internal company policies and procedures.
How will you impact our organization as a Product Compliance Specialist on a daily basis?
Support procurement in the management of supply chain product compliance and ensure products are in accordance with global compliance requirements, Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), Conflict Minerals, REACH, SVHC, California Prop 65, etc.
Participate in the new product introduction process, evaluate raw materials, and ensure compliance for products prior to commercial sale.
Review, author, and maintain SDSs in the appropriate electronic portal as necessary (currently 3E Generate and Protect System).
Create, author, and manage product registrations and requested declaration statements (e.g., EU REACH, Turkey REACH, RoHS, CMRT, etc.).
Provide support and expertise for manufactured products and other products in product portfolio.
Promptly provide regulatory compliance support.
Author and manage additional compliance statements and declarations.
Keep abreast of any changes to laws or regulations that may impact our organization.
Ensure existing processes and procedures comply with health and safety product regulatory policy, standards, rules and global regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience within manufacturing or chemical plant with broad safety, health, and environmental responsibilities.
Prior experience working in regulatory/compliance environment/technical role.
Strong understanding of international, EU and US products and HS&E regulations.
Knowledge of software for SDS authoring, 3E, UL, SAP, or similar tools.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
Advanced proficiency using MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to learn with Adobe Creative suite, internal database, and other software systems
Experience with basic html, SharePoint, and SAP Dangerous Goods is preferred.?
Ability to travel up to 30% as assigned
