Job description
TIBS for Kids is a leading children's therapy center dedicated to providing comprehensive services to children with speech and language difficulties. We are seeking a passionate and experienced speech and language therapist to join our team. As a Speech and Language Therapist at TIBS for Kids, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families by helping them develop effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments to evaluate children's speech and language abilities
- Developing personalized therapy plans based on assessment results
- Implementing evidence-based therapy techniques to improve children's speech and language skills
- Providing individual and group therapy sessions to children with speech and language difficulties
- Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a holistic approach to therapy
- Monitoring and documenting children's progress throughout the therapy process
- Conducting regular consultations and parent trainings to support carryover of therapy techniques at home and in educational settings
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field
- Valid license and certification in speech and language therapy
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with speech and language difficulties
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and their impact on child development
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized therapy plans
- Ability to implement evidence-based therapy techniques and modify them based on individual needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage caseloads and documentation
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with speech and language difficulties
