About the Team:
Do you want to use your financial skills to support the technologists building some of the buzziest areas within Walmart?The Director of Technology Finance supports the US Omni Platforms Tech (USOPT) team and will play a critical role partnering with Walmart US to drive strategic alignment across teams. You will have a front row seat as we strive to leverage technology to fundamentally shift the economics of Walmart's business.
About the Position:
This is a strategic role requiring not just strong financial acumen, but also exceptional cross-functional and business partnering skills. You will be an individual contributor.
Responsibilities include:
Influence & Leadership. You will build and manage relationships with the US segment finance team, providing transparency to how Tech is delivering outcomes and working to optimize resources across the USOPT tech portfolio. You will leverage industry knowledge, business acumen, and relationship building skills to influence and drive results.
Planning & Prioritization. Partner with stakeholders to ensure efficient and optimal allocation of resources to align business needs with the company’s financial goals.
Cloud Cost Discipline. You’ll serve as the subject matter expert on cloud within the USOPT Tech Finance team, partnering closely with the Fin Ops organization to drive year over year savings in cloud spend. You’ll also own all month end close and forecasting activities related to Cloud for USOPT.
Strategic Support. Provide robust financial analysis to estimate tech costs for new businesses, evaluate tradeoffs for new features & functionality, and assist with any acquisitions.
