Title: Registered Nurse, Operating Room - Quad City Ambulatory Surgery Center

Employment Type: Full Time, 1.0

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, Variable Daytime Hours between 6:00 am - 5:00 pm (No weekends or call)

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs nursing activities in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the patient's surgical experience
• Provides nursing care to the patient in the operating room during orthopedic surgical and pain management procedures, assisting the surgical team as needed
• Addresses patient needs during admission to the operating room, provides comfort and reassurance to the patient
• Explains intraoperative phase routine procedures and care to the patient
• Monitors the patient during surgery, and coordinates care throughout the process with other perioperative care personnel
• Responsible for providing a safe environment for patient care in the operating room/procedure area
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Current unrestricted Illinois RN licensure is required
• 2+ years OR experience preferred
• Orthopedic experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
• Must be flexible with hours
