Director of Annual Fund Giving
Castilleja School is seeking a Director of Annual Fund to lead and manage all aspects of the school’s Annual Fund program. This position is a core leader in the Advancement Department. The Director of Annual Fund is responsible for strategically planning, successfully managing, and executing a comprehensive annual giving program. The Director of Annual Fund works closely with volunteers and manages relationships with donors, parents, trustees, parent volunteers, and employees. The position plays an active role in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition of individual donors and elevation annual giving donors to leadership giving levels. The Director of Annual Fund will help with the strategic partnership with the Castilleja School Association (Parent Committee).
In addition, the Director of Annual Fund is responsible for the fundraising for our annual benefit, View360, which raises funds for the tuition assistance program.
Responsibilities:
- Create, execute and manage a comprehensive Annual Fund program
- Develop and implement targeted campaigns for current parents, alumni, alumni parents, and employees
- Identify, recruit, train and manage the Annual Fund and Annual Benefit Co-chairs and team to be effective solicitors
- Work closely with Director of Advancement and Director of Capital Campaign & Major Gifts to align program goals with the overall giving of the school’s priorities
- Establish ongoing relationships with individual donors through personal visits, phone calls and meaningful contacts
- Work closely with Communications Department on fundraising materials
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience in the fundraising field
- Skilled at articulating compelling cases for annual support and major gifts
- Ability to develop and initiate new strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability and desire to work effectively with diverse constituencies and effectively develop relationships that enhance overall advancement goals.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexible with the ability to take on different tasks
- Database experience required - preferably with Raiser’s Edge or Veracross
- Salary range $95,000 to $113,000
