Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

The Powder Coater is responsible for disassembly, clean, paint, degrease, prep and paint/powder coat sheet metal components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Disassembly of sheet metal components.
• Clean, paint, de-grease, and polish both metal and insulated breaker parts.
• Operate a sand blaster, polisher, spray booths.
• Powder coat experience is helpful.
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Operate a forklift.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position as it involves plant deliveries and pickups.

May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.

METRICS

• Ensures work area remains tidy.
• Project and demand oriented as defined by the objectives set forth by operations manager and measured based on meeting objectives, completion on time, accuracy and neatness of work, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to maintain good housekeeping of designated work area.
• Capable of lifting 50-pounts.
• Mechanically inclined, must be able to use basic hand tools.
• Detail oriented, great attitude, team player, well organized.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Strong mechanical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communications.
• Good time management skills; be able to multi-task.
• Able to work at fast pace.
• Work well in a team environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school or equivalent required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Occasional reaching/working overhead, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
• Frequent walking.
• Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion.
• Ability to consistently wear respirator.
• Lifting requirements include occasional lifting up to 75 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 25 pounds.
