Job description
We are seeking a detailoriented Construction Cost Estimator for a project site in Washington D.C. This role is crucial to the planning and execution of our construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire a thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Develop valid cost estimates using appropriate metrics.
- Visit sites warehouses and other venues to gather essential information.
- Review documents or consult experts to collect all necessary data.
- Analyze data and produce cost forecasts.
- Perform risk analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties.
- Foster relationships with key vendors (subcontractors architects etc.).
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of college education.
- Associate s Degree in Engineering Construction Technology or Business.
- Experience in construction project scheduling and cost estimating.
- Experience working with cost estimating software (e.g. RS Means Cost Plus etc.).
- Access to Adobe Reader and MS Suite.
