Position Summary

The Director, Global Talent Management for DESTACO is responsible for leading and developing the Talent Management processes, tools and systems across the company.

Talent Management includes:

Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding 
(in the US, leads Talent Acquisition and US government 
contractor compliance process),

Culture & Engagement

including Diversity, Equity & Inclusion,

Leadership Development & Training,

Performance Management,

Talent Review and Succession Planning,

Organization Design

Change Management

The Director, Global Talent Management partners with and supports the HR Partner Team and business leaders globally to achieve our business strategy and goals. This work is foundational in support of our talent ambition - to continue to partner with the business to ensure our culture is one where all people at all levels belong, contribute, and thrive.

The Director, Global Talent Management reports to the VP of Global Human Resources who is a member of DESTACO’s executive leadership team. The position is based out of our Auburn Hills, MI headquarters and requires some travel (up to 20%). The position requires communication globally – supporting our business and operations teams across DESTACO.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

included but not limited to:

-Helps execute the HR strategy and owns responsibility for overall Talent Management function effectiveness globally.
-Leads the Talent Management global processes, tools and systems globally - Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding, Culture & Engagement, Leadership Development & Training, Performance Management, Talent Review and Succession Planning, Organization Design.
-Manages and develops best practice processes, tools, leveraging work and focus from Dover corporate, best practices from other Dover Operating Companies, outside benchmarks and continuous improvement of what is currently in place.
-Partners with Region HR, senior leaders and people leaders broadly to implement and continuously improve capabilities in HR, leaders and talent globally.

-Develops Talent and creates a pipeline of ready talent to achieve business strategies (Talent Review process including succession, workforce planning, development plans, Talent Assessment, Competencies & Skills Assessment, Training Strategy, Plans and Programs for key focus areas, Development Programs, Coaching & Feedback, Change Management)
-Leads and promotes safety awareness with other key members of the team.  Promotes accident prevention and employee involvement in regard to a safe work environment.  Ensures employees have an understanding of the safety expectations of the organization.
-Leverages continuous improvement tools to drive continued operational improvements and ensures engagement of the entire team through strong communication and clear direction.

 

Job Requirements:

Experience:

-Requires 10 plus years of experience focused on talent management work, preferably with global reach – including experience with the following in some capacity:

-training development and implementation with experience with e-learning management, development and implementation.
-performance management communication, implementation and leadership
-talent review process work and coaching
-talent acquisition/recruitment process and employment branding
-organization design
-culture and engagement
-diversity, equity and inclusion
-change management
-Track record of driving employee engagement; identification of organizational opportunities and gaps, determining solutions, and implementing them with global reach and responsibility.
-Extensive experience in collaborating with leaders and providing coaching

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-Leadership development and training approaches including e-learning, micro learning and innovative approaches for efficient & effective onboarding, leadership and core product training.
-Excellent communicator including facilitation, verbal, and written skills
-Extensive experience in collaborating with leaders, teams and providing coaching

-Strong influence without authority capability
-Strong business acumen
-Best-practice and continuous process improvement oriented with a focus on design that is practical and effective for the situation/culture.

 

Education and Certification Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree required.
-Master’s degree – MBA, human resources or organizational development preferred

 

Travel Requirements
