Position Summary:

Rutgers The State University is seeking a Financial Analyst in the Finance – Accounting of Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare.

Under the direction of the Manager, Accounting, the Financial Analyst is responsible for performing advanced accounts analysis and reconciliations. Develops, interprets and implements financial accounting concepts for financial planning and control. Prepares journal entries in a manner acceptable under the principles of accounting practices and theory.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Prepares correspondence and statistical, financial, and other reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Completes journal entries for revenue and maintains analyses.
• Prepares standard and adjusting journal entries.
• Assists in the preparation of financial statements.
• Performs asset/liability analyses and G/L reconciliations for Operating Funds.
• Ensures smooth and timely year-end and other periodic audits.
• Adheres to established due dates for requests for information.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field plus three (3) years of relevant experience in related fiscal activities. 
• Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
