Job description

A dynamic and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join the team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, licensed in good standing to practice law in Florida, and possess strong drafting/writing and research skills.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, including cases for both plaintiffs and defendants, depending on the firm's caseload.
• Handle all aspects of a case in state and federal court, including pre-trial preparation, court appearances, motions, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trials.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft comprehensive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Confidently represent clients in court, during depositions, and at mediations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to effectively manage cases and ensure client satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, while providing outstanding legal advice and representation.
• Continuously seek opportunities to expand the firm's client base.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed in good standing to practice law in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Strong drafting/writing and research skills.
• Ability and confidence to manage cases independently, with a demonstrated track record of successful outcomes.
• Experience handling cases in both state and federal court, with a thorough understanding of procedural rules and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients and maintain professional relationships.
• A portable book of business is a plus, but not required.
