St. Luke's is seeking an Payroll Shared Services Specialist in Meridian!

Do you have payroll experience in an automated workflow environment?
Experience with commercial ERP systems?

The Shared Services Specialist is responsible for providing support in the function areas of payroll, benefits and related areas. Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations.

Key Skills for his job:

• Essential Functions –

  Review hours and pay data and detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

  Process and post payroll to issue employee paychecks and ACH payments.

  Process miscellaneous payments related to missed time or retroactive increases.

  Complete verification of employment forms as requested by third parties.
  Correspond via email and telephone with employees regarding payroll issues.
  Meet daily and weekly time-sensitive deadlines.
  Willingness to accept and complete other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Under limited supervision, performs professional level support activities in one or more functional areas of human resources. Uses established procedures to perform assigned tasks.
• Researches and consolidates information required for analysis of accounting/finance operations. Prepares reports in conformance with legal requirements or organization needs.
• May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
• Prepares special projects as assigned. Assists in the development and implementation of accounting/finance policies and procedures.
• May act as backup to one or more processes outside of area of expertise.\
• Performs special analysis, reconciles designated accounts, etc. within assigned functional areas.
• Analyzes and interprets company policies, procedures and state and federal regulations affecting the assigned functional area.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years’s of general experience in the functional area or related experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: None
