Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being Afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required. Excellent translation services are provided.
Responsibilities We are seeking a Cardiologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in general cardiology and cardiovascular imaging, with a commitment to excellence in patient care. This position involves a combination of clinic hours, on-call responsibilities, and participation in four yearly calls. Additionally, the role includes teaching residents and collaborating with clinical support staff.

- Conduct general cardiology assessments, examinations, and cardiovascular imaging studies.
- Manage an average daily patient load of 15-30 individuals with fellows, providing comprehensive care.Interpret and analyze echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with diverse cardiac
- conditions.Collaborate with a team of three Nurse Practitioners to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Participate in four yearly on-call rotations, including home call responsibilities.Provide guidance and mentorship to residents during clinical rotations.
- Collaborate with the academic team to develop and deliver educational content for residents.Stay abreast of advancements in cardiology and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records for patients.
Qualifications - Board Eligibility or Cerification in Cardiology
- Echo Certification
- CT or MRI a Plus
- Current NY State Medical License
- Completion of an approved residency and fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine
- Graduate from an approved medical school
