In 1968, a dedicated group of Orlando community leaders, led by the late Reverend Canon A. Rees Hay, wanted to provide a quality independent secondary education for students in Central Florida. As a result, they established Trinity Preparatory School for grades 6 through 12. Position Summary :
Trinity Preparatory is seeking a vibrant Alumni and Alumni Family Coordinator who will establish, communicate, and manage a comprehensive annual events calendar to keep alumni and alumni families informed, engaged, and connected to Trinity Prep. This leader will be responsible for developing strategic, engaging, and content-driven programs that strengthen and promote new and meaningful connections with Trinity’s Alumni while elevating the visibility of both alumni and Trinity throughout the entire school community while working closely with the Director of Development and Annual Giving and the advancement team. A dedication to developing programming for alumni that reflects the School’s commitments to diversity and inclusion is vital. Working with the office of advancement this role will also work to increase alumni and alumni family giving to Trinity Prep.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish an annual events calendar that includes homecoming, reunions, regional alumni events, alumni affinity events, alumni awards (Athletic Hall of Fame, Arts Hall of Fame, Distinguished Alumni)
- Manage and oversee the alumni and alumni family social media channels
- Work with the advancement office to create an annual solicitation calendar for alumni and alumni families.
- Work with the database manager to help find lost alumni and keep alumni and alumni family records up to date.
- Work with senior class leadership to prepare to welcome them as alumni.
- Manage alumni website platform that helps alumni connect with one another, look for career support and stay connected with Trinity Prep.
- Serve as event coordinator for advancement office events such as Grandparents Day, groundbreaking receptions.
- Lead the strategic direction and operations of the Alumni Office including programs, volunteer relations, fundraising, budget, and events that supports the mission and initiatives of Trinity Preparatory School.
- Build on and enhance a strong and vibrant program of alumni engagement. The successful candidate will have a background in alumni engagement programs, fundraising, and/or event management and will be excited about working with a broadly diverse alumni community leading to philanthropic participation.
- Serve as the primary staff liaison for alumni members and other key volunteers. Identify, recruit, train, manage, and engage the Alumni Association, its subcommittees, and other volunteer groups as needed.
- Plan and oversee virtual, regional, and on-campus alumni events, including homecoming and reunions.
- Evaluate and develop an appropriate and meaningful reunion program in support of the broader alumni engagement strategy.
- Partner with the Director of Development and Annual Fund to determine and execute the annual fundraising strategy for Alumni.
- Conduct regular alumni visits relating to discovery, cultivation, and stewardship.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications on the alumni content for the Annual Report/Magazine, alumni web content, and social media presence.
- Availability for evening and weekend events and meetings as well as occasional travel is also required.
- Provide staff support to the Head of School, Assistant Head of School of External Affairs, and other administrators at local, regional, and virtual alumni events.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or the international equivalent with a focus in a relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years experience preferred in non-profit Development leadership positions or Alumni Program work, with a proven ability to grow an alumni program/increase alumni engagement required, preferably within Orlando Metroplex.
- Knowledge of and experience at premier independent schools with compatible missions preferred.
- Experience working in an educational institution is preferred.
- Articulates an authentic commitment to diversity and holds others accountable for the same.
- Familiarity and enthusiasm for the School’s mission and promotes an inclusive environment that values, encourages, and supports differences.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills and experience creating content such as e-newsletters, social media, print publications, video, and other forms of communication to engage constituents beyond traditional events.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience managing a large cadre of volunteers and committees are essential.
- Demonstrated success in program development and the ability to inspire a wide variety of constituencies.
- Ability to listen carefully and understand constituents' needs, both internally and externally, and proactively respond to those needs in a consistent and timely manner.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, take initiative, and react and adapt to changing situations appropriately.
- An aptitude for planning, executing, and managing an annual calendar of strategic alumni events, from small luncheons to large-scale Alumni Weekends.
- Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset.
- Ability to craft strategy while maintaining an excellent grasp of details.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and GSuite, as well as database experience (preferably Raiser’s Edge) are required.
- Trinity alumni with relevant professional experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Must be able to pass a Jessica Lunsford Level II background check and drug test.
Certifications Required:
- CPR/AED/First Aid are able to be gained upon hiring.
