Job description

For the past 100+ years we've been a leader in the electric power industry with a focus on optimizing and improving system performance for circuit breakers, rotating machines, transformers, cables and protective relays. Right now, we need a Principal High Voltage (HV) Transformer Engineer to work in/around the Marlborough, MA location (near the 495 and 20 intersection) on a full time basis. You'd be remote but would have you going out to clients sites in the area. 

What you will be doing:

• You'll act as our consultant in the power industry working with our clients
• Transformer condition analysis, design reviews and factory inspections
• We provide technical training on the Life of a Transformer throughout the industry
• Perform condition assessment studies of in service assets and combines and review assessments from team of electrical engineers and chemists 
• Lead meetings with customers to review findings

Required experience:

• 10+ years working experience in the power engineering field, specifically with power transformer design or manufacturing
• BSEE or MSEE (or similar)
• Experience with both core and shell transformers
• FAT experience for High Voltage transformers
• 230kV would be a bonus
