The health aid should help ensure the patient is comfortable throughout the therapy sessions. Assisting in duties such as, but not limited to, preparing equipment, cleanliness, and clerical tasks is required for this position to give quality care to all patients.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak English, Gujarati and Hindi.
• Has previous experience (minimum 2 year as a health aid).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant medical knowledge.

Duties:

• Assist with patient care by giving patients direct support during therapy sessions while working under the direction of licensed physical therapists. In addition to other therapeutic activities, they might assist patients with stretches and exercises.
• Effectively prepare the treatment area, patient equipment, and materials to support the delivery of physical therapy care.
• Ensures treatment areas are kept clean and clutter-free at all times. They might also be in charge of disinfecting tools and surfaces in between patients to stop the spread of disease.
• Prepares hot and cold packs and necessary equipment during sessions
• Actively take charge in keeping track of patients' progress during therapy sessions and take notes, also inform the physical therapist of any changes or concerns.
• Provide assistance with any basic questions patients may have while making them feel welcomed and at ease.

Skills:

• Has basic Computer skills.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
• Observation and assessment skills.
• Time management and organizational.
• Must be able to speak Gujarati and Hindi.

This job is part time 9:0AM-4PM Monday to Friday.
