Job description
The Radisson Suite Hotel Oceanfront is looking for an efficient yet thorough Assistant Executive Housekeeper to maintain a high level of cleanliness in our facilities by demonstrating leadership skills and a team player attitude. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will work side-by-side with our current Executive Housekeeper. Duties will include creating schedules, updating Opera with room status updates, ordering products, managing a team, time management throughout the day, checking rooms for cleanliness, training new housekeepers and assisting with cleaning and laundry duties as needed. Prior manager level experience preferred.
Assistant Executive Housekeeper Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively manage housekeepers throughout the day
- Check rooms to ensure they have been cleaned properly
- Train and coach housekeepers to ensure the standards are met
- Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
- Enter maintenance needs into Quore computer system
- Update room status in Opera to reflect cleaned rooms
- Address guests’ queries (e.g. on additional services)
- Record all housekeeping duties performed
- Assist in ordering and inventory
- Directly repost to Executive Housekeeper
- Properly handle chemicals and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Help guests retrieve lost items
- Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift
- Properly care for supplies and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service and handle complaints when they arise
Housekeeper Requirements
- Bi-lingual/Knowledge speaking Spanish a must
- Prior relevant experience managing a cleaning staff
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products
- Good physical health and stamina
- Must be able to take instruction and follow through without a lot of oversight
- Hotel experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Efficiency, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Must be well organized and orderly
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to help and work as a team with the guests' best interest in mind
