HOACNY provides cancer care services, Monday through Friday, day hours at three convenient locations in East Syracuse, Syracuse and Auburn. Oncology Nurse Practitioner

The Oncology Nurse Practitioner works within a collaborative model to provide quality care and to improve patient outcomes by strengthening continuity of care in all settings for cancer patients, families and staff.

Possession of a NY State Registered Nurse license. ANCC or ANA certification and NYS Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Requirements

Graduate of a school of nursing.

Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program (MS preferred)

Authorized to Issue prescriptions pursuant to Section 6902 (3) (b) of the Education Law having completed instruction satisfactory to the department in New York State and Federal laws and regulations relating to prescriptions and record keeping and in accordance with the practice agreement and practice protocols.

Five years professional nursing experience in a hospital or clinic setting with 1-2 years in a nurse practitioner role or 1-2 years in an Oncology Nurse Practitioner role preferred
