Job description
Description Position Summary The Registered Nurse has accountability to provide direct patient care in accordance with scope of nursing license and the established policies and procedures of Southwestern Medical Center. Maintains clinical competencies through on-going continuing education. Monitors and ensures delivery of patient care commensurate with the education and experience of available staff. Qualifications Licensure/Certification/Registration :
- Registered Nurse issued by the State of Oklahoma
- BLS within 30 days of hire
- NIH Stroke by end of Clinical Nursing Orientation
Education: Graduate from an accredited professional nurse program Skills: - Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others
- Service Orientation — Actively looking for ways to help people.
- Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

- Instructing — Teaching others how to do something.
