Job description
PURPOSE:
Manage the timely and accurate processing of claims related to the Victim Compensation Fund, “VCF.” A Team Manager will work with their team of claim administrators to ensure that all claims are properly recorded in our systems and that all information has been appropriately submitted on behalf of the client to the VCF.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Monitor and manage the work load of their team of Claims Admins to ensure the proper filing of each VCF claim and properly completed tasks.
- Train the existing Claims Admins on all changes to process and other relevant needs of the Claims Department.
- Meet with members of the team on a regular basis to review policies and establish goals.
- Evaluate the performance of the Claim Admins on a weekly basis.
- Review performance with Claim Admins on a monthly basis.
- Establish a policy to ensure client inquiries are handled expeditiously, including when assigned Claim Admins are unavailable to handle a client inquiry.
- Monitor various Claim Admins metrics as determined by the Director of Operations.
- Review and propose changes to policies, metrics, and goals with the Director of Operations on a regular basis.
- Review Team statistics and Claim Admins performance with the Director of Operations on a regular basis and make corrective recommendations as needed.
- Meet with Claim Admins Trainer to review training program and revise as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: - 2-3 years of management experience
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Must be available to be in the office four (4) days a week to ensure team's tasks are completed
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Knowledge of the industry’s legal rules and guidelines related to the VCF
- In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles related to processing claims related to the Victim Compensation Fund
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Familiarity with MS Office, Salesforce, and various business software.
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Able to objectively evaluate employee performance and take corrective action.
SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $90,000
