Procurement Lead
What Success Looks Like
A successful Procurement Lead will oversee all procurement activities to ensure RBW can fulfill customer orders on time by way of buying parts that meet quality and timeliness requirements and enabling assembly operations to build light fixtures according to plan. Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Manager, the Procurement Lead ensures that all procurement activities are implemented in close alignment with RBW’s procurement policies and in support of other stakeholder departments following best-in-class internal and external service. In particular, the Procurement Lead will collaborate with Production, Innovation, Finance, and Sales & Marketing to support the launch of award-winning NPD assortments on time to meet revenue targets.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30a-6p

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for RBW procurement including OEM products and RBW Production items, in quality, cost, quantity, and timeliness.
- Responsible for defining and publishing cost-effective procurement strategies and processes in alignment with RBW’s mission and value statements.
- Responsible for controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
- Responsible for vendor management and improving vendor sourcing on an annual basis, including building and maintaining long-term relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors.
- Responsible for on-time delivery of NPD procurement tasks.
- Responsible for evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
- Responsible for negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Responsible for conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement.
- Responsible for approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Responsible for preparing procurement reports.
- Responsible for aligning the entire purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary.
- Partner with IT to improve ERP and other systems to streamline the entire order process.
- Responsible for partnering and implementing tasks in support of the innovation process.
- Responsible for calculating COGS for new product developments.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years of procurement/negotiations experience in purchasing
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent work experience
- 3+ experience conducting vendor negotiations
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Understanding of ERP systems (Oracle)
- Strong experience with writing request for proposal/information
