Job description
Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), implements programs and policies designed to protect the organization and employee interests in accordance with company HR policies and governmental laws and regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Provide management training in various areas of HR such as interviewing, employment law, counseling and discipline, performance evaluations, cultural diversity, etc.
- Learning & Development: Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Compliance: Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Talent Acquisition: Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; build out ADP ATS; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Employee Relations: Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Compensation: Administer the company’s compensation process, including creating job descriptions, conducting job evaluations, and administering performance evaluation and pay administration policies. Partnering with the Chief Compliance Officer to educate management on appropriate job classifications, salary ranges, promotions and adjustments and other compensation-related challenges. Conduct regular compensation benchmarking surveys and assessments to ensure competitiveness.
- Compensation – Responsibility for implementation of pay practices, Establish salaries for new positions, Participate in industry surveys
- HRIS: Manage the HR Information System (ADP Workforce Now) and processes driven by HR technology such as benefits, performance evaluation system, onboarding, staffing and recruitment, learning, and compensation. Ensure all employee data is accurate, and that key reports are delivered to management and regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Oversee and manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, and training and development
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations - Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Manage employee onboarding and orientation processes
- Conduct regular employee evaluations and performance appraisals
- Implement effective employee retention strategies
- Oversee the budgeting process for HR-related expenses
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic workforce planning initiatives
- Lead the HR team in providing high-quality HR services to employees at all levels of the organization
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Human Resources or combination of education and experience. Master's Degree Preferred.
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years progressive responsibilities in Human Resources.
- Healthcare Experience is highly desired.
- CCP, CBP, PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
- Proven experience as an HR Director or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations
- Strong experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in budgeting and financial management within an HR department
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making processes
- Experience conducting interviews and making hiring decisions
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: - Proficiency in PC applications.
- Knowledge of current HR law.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish goals and monitor progress against goals.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time with little supervision.
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions utilizing critical thinking skills.
