POSITION : Human Resources Admin
REPORTS TO : Sr. Manager, Human Resources
SUMMARY: The Human Resource Admin will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department and administration, under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Human Resources. Responsibilities for this role will include employee onboarding, benefit management, as well as leave administration to include workers compensation, medical leave and FMLA compliance. This position will work collaboratively with the payroll department to ensure all benefits and deductions are allocated and reconciled accurately.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES - Leave Administration such as workers comp, STD/LTD, and FMLA.
- Benefit administration including new hire enrollment and assisting with open enrollment.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Coordinates with Talent Acquisition to send pre-hire paperwork and schedule background and drug screens.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Enforce compliance with company handbook, recommending policies to be drafted.
- Prepare paperwork and schedules for smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Manages uniform program and acts as a liaison to the uniform vendor.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and company events.
- Helps administer and plan company employee rewards and recognition programs.
- Handle all medical reimbursements.
- Ad-hoc projects.
- Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/ BACKGROUND - 5+ years of experience in human resources; a focus on benefit and leave administration preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to handle confidential matters using discretion and good judgment.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to create relationships.
- Emotional intelligence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- Act with a sense of urgency, ability to prioritize.
